Visitor Parking Permit

When parking in any campus location (other than the pay lot), visitors will need to register their vehicle. Visitor vehicle registration can be done at the Card and Parking Service Center located in the University Student Union, the University Police Department located east of the stadium off of Jackrabbit Avenue or by phone at 605-688-7275.

You must provide your license plate number or the last five digits of the vehicle VIN to register your vehicle.

Where to Park

A visitor vehicle registration will allow you to park in any stall signed visitor or any commuter lot across campus.

Observe signs at lot entrances for EC (orange medallion) or SC (blue medallion).

Departmental Guest Permits

If you are a guest of a specific department, you may obtain a departmental guest permit by the department for your convenience. Employees and students do not qualify as guests and may not use a departmental guest permit.

Please contact the faculty, staff or department for more information on a guest permit and to register your vehicle.
Restrictions

Any vehicle registered to or used by an employee or student is ineligible to park in visitor-designated parking areas. These vehicles must use the Student Union pay lot, mobile pay stalls or park in their permitted lot.
