  • All videos embedded on sdstate.edu must be captioned to maintain WCAG accessibility standards.
  • All Ä¢¹½´«Ã½-related videos must be hosted on the official university YouTube channel.
    • This ensures branding consistency and aids with video management.
  • Send captioned videos via email for uploading to the university YouTube channel.
    • They will be reviewed for content, branding and captioning.
    • Videos will be uploaded on YouTube as unlisted and a shareable link will be created.

Voice and Style

  • In general, the website content should be written in third-person.
    • An exception would be an individual's profile page. This could be written in first-person.
  • Follow Associated Press Style writing guidelines.
  • Be clear and concise. Keep content up-to-date.
  • Authority pages (don't duplicate).
    • Link to sources rather than duplicating content. 
    • Common topics include admissions, graduation requirements, computer requirements, scholarships and program pages.
    • These pages will have the current information. Do not copy this text and paste it onto another page. Instead, link to the authority page or simply replace the page you have with their page in your menu.
