When the COVID-19 pandemic began, SDSU researchers responded quickly to help improve personal protective equipment, to provide area businesses services to help reduce viral transmission and to understand how the novel coronavirus infects cells.

His bachelor’s and master’s degrees were earned in his native Brazil.

Professor Padu Krishnan of Ģ����ý’s Department of Dairy and Food Science received the 2020 Edith A. Christensen Award for Outstanding Contributions in Analytical Methodology from the Cereals & Grains Association. He is the first Ģ����ý faculty member to get the award, which recognizes the central role analytical methods play in cereal and grain research.

Ģ����ý professor Sanjeev Anand is not resting on his laurels and has many more research ideas underway. The IDFA is the sponsor of this ADSA award, which Anand said is the highest research award given in the discipline. Anand was also recognized for his excellence in the classroom with the 2018 IDFA Teaching Award.
