A new holiday installation is lighting up McCrory Gardens’ annual Garden Glow thanks to the collaborative work of students in Ģ����ý’s School of Performing Arts. As part of a 400-level scenic painting course, students recreated the “12 Days of Christmas” illustrations designed by associate professor of theatre Billy Wilburn.

During their first seminar, the 22 members of the South Dakota Agricultural and Rural Leadership Class XIII cohort visited the Ģ����ý College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences last week to learn about the wide-reaching impact of the college, and the university, on agriculture in the state of South Dakota.

Jill Alms, an agricultural research manager and specialist, has been named Ģ����ý’s Civil Service Employee of the Month for December.

Nick Erickson, a senior electrical engineering major from Pierce, Nebraska, Erickson is the recipient of the major scholarship — the Center for Power Systems Studies Outstanding Senior Scholarship — a $5,000 award. Also,

Ģ����ý instructor of low brass Bradley Snyder will present a faculty recital at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, in Founders Recital Hall at the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center.

Nicholus Hayen, a law enforcement officer with the University Police Department, has been named Ģ����ý’s Civil Service Employee of the Month for November.

Ģ����ý held its ninth annual Swine Day at Club 71 in Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium on Nov. 4. Organized by university swine research and extension personnel, the daylong event offered attendees a full day of learning and connection.

Catherine Maddock of Redwood Falls, Minnesota, will present her BFA thesis exhibition at Ģ����ý from Nov. 10-21.

The Joint Engineering Council in the Lohr College of Engineering for 2025-26 carries a strong taste of mechanical engineering. All five members of the executive committee are mechanical engineering majors. It is led by senior Connor Matthies of Hartford, who has an aerospace emphasis. He previous served as secretary.
