The South Dakota Art Museum at Ģ����ý will celebrate the immersive exhibition of huge blown glass ears of corn, “Primordial Shift: The Art of Michael Meilahn,” with a free public reception and panel discussion from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, June 27.

By the narrowest of margins — two points out of more than 2,000 — the SDSU Quarter Scale Tractor Team came up just short of winning its third consecutive national title. Competing at the 27th annual International Quarter-Scale Tractor Student Design Competition at the Expo Gardens Fairgrounds in Peoria, Illinois, the Ģ����ý team placed third out of 21 teams.

The South Dakota Art Museum at Ģ����ý will open its newest exhibition, “Termespheres: Without Beginning or End,” with a free public reception and artist talk from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, March 23. Artist Dick Termes will speak at 6 p.m., discussing the spherical paintings in this exhibition, known as Termespheres, and his process for creating them.

The annual Ģ����ý Celebration of Faculty Excellence recognized 30 faculty members, researchers and scientists Tuesday. The event honors faculty members in the university's colleges for outstanding research, teaching and service.

After nearly two years of construction, the POET Bioproducts Center has officially opened its doors to the region's leading bioprocessing scientists. The new laboratory, located in the Ģ����ý Park at Ģ����ý, will bring researchers from SDSU and South Dakota Mines together with industry partners to scale up innovative biotechnologies and varying South Dakota's economy.

Members from a pharmacy student organization at Ģ����ý provided free health screenings at the 2023 South Dakota State Fair.

A group of 37 Ģ����ý nursing students promoted healthy summer habits by holding a health fair at the Great Plains Zoo on June 16. The event, which offered the zoo’s youngest visitors lessons in water safety, sun protection and physical activity, served as pediatric clinical experience for the SDSU students.

The South Dakota Art Museum at Ģ����ý (SDSU) celebrates the opening of the highly anticipated Dakota Modern: The Art of Oscar Howe with free festivities for all ages, from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. on June 10.

Seven members of the professional staff at Ģ����ý have been honored for their quality work. The recipients were honored at the SDSU Professional Staff Advisory Council annual meeting in mid-May.
